Relationships in a World of Individualism

  • rWorld

The rWorld is about more than Dale Kuehne's book Sex and the iWorld.
The rWorld is a New England based, non-profit (in formation), that is composed of a growing number of people and organizations from many faith and ideological backgrounds worldwide. We believe that much of the fulfillment for which women and men are looking can be found by enhancing the quality of our relationships. While the individual freedom we enjoy in the West is a gift, the love and intimacy for which humans yearn will not be found in self-serving materialism or hedonism, but in a variety of healthy relationships.

    Sex & the iWorld

Professor of Politics and The Richard L. Bready Chair for Ethics, Economics, and the Common Good at Saint Anselm College, Manchester, NH.

In this blog I'm highlighting signposts of the world in which we presently reside as a means of helping promote a civil, and meaningful dialogue about what kind of world in which we wish to live. I am particularly interested in exploring how might we reconcile the individual good and the common good, and where reconciliation isn’t possible, which should take precedence and why.

Shame Is(‘nt) Me

Posted by Dale Kuehne on October 9, 2012

Shame is seeking to consume me. I want to make it homeless.

My latest sharewik blog:

Now I ain’t marchin’ in the mud
Got my ear up to the wall
‘Cause I canhear you whine
Fakers in my feet
I steal a jeep just to keep you mine

You’re so big, one step ahead
I said the lesson’s here will know zero
I’ve been left for dead
Now I’m to blaming me for this mess
I mean that’s why you said

Shame on me shame on me I believe
It’s so easy
No one sees you’re so pleased
to put the blame on me
it’s all on me

I can’t stay on the track
Discipline is what we lack
But you ain’t stoppin me again
Don’t know if you understand
You made me jump I have to land

Up in Hollywood glow no way to go
Little girl abandoned left me stranded
and now I’m on my own
Feels so fake but looks so real
Feed the devil make the deal
Brought us here and doesn’t feel
To know you sold your soul

Shame on me shame on me I believe
It’s so easy
No one sees you’re so pleased
To put the blame on me
It’s all on me

Lost my way I’ve come on edge
No one’s win I’m on the fringe
I’m on the edge and tippin’ it
You tell me not to metal with it
There’s no end to settle in

You’re so big, one step ahead
I said a lesson’s here will know zero
I’ve been left for dead
Now I’m to blaming me for this mess
I mean that’s what you said

Shame on me shame on me I believe
It’s so easy
No one sees you’re so pleased
to put the blame on me
It’s all on me

Take my heart
Tell my head
You’ve got that Hollywood glow
And now I’m on my own
Feels so fake but looks so real
feed the devil make the deal
brought us here and doesn’t feel
to know you sold your soul

Shame on me shame on me I believe
It’s so easy
No one sees you’re so pleased
to put the blame on me
it’s all on me
